Introducing the Cate Dress from our Little Black Dress Collection.
Inspired by icons and designed for today, the Little Black Dress Collection fuses the LBD classic heritage together with contemporary features, modern fabrics and unexpected detailing. When designing each dress for our own-label collection, we take inspiration from glittering fashion moments of the past and present and are on a constant search for style icons of the future.
This 46 year-old Australian actress needs no introduction. A woman after our own heart, when it comes to eveningwear Cate Blanchett is a consistent stunner; a woman with a true sense of individual style. An advocate of embellishment and mouth-wateringly maxi lengths, she wows at every premiere or social event she appears at.

With 44 films to her name and two Academy Awards, three British Academy Awards and three Golden Globes, to name but a few in a never-ending list of accolades, she only gets better as time wares on and like her acting, her fashion sense is wholly A-List. She normally showcases her signature natural beauty and tiny waist in flatteringly slender gowns, but she's not afraid to try bolder looks, like two-pieces and more masculine suits. She often plays around with colour but is definitely no stranger to the trusty little black dress.
With great talent comes great opportunity for glamour, so we selected and salivated over some of the stunning pieces she has worn over the years to show you, an admittedly small selection, of her most show-stopping moments. But the dress which was the source of our inspiration for the Little Black Dress Collection Cate Dress, a black Armani Privé lace maxi gown worn to the Golden Globes in 2014 , was particularly memorable. The high neck and dramatically low back were elements which stood out to us and so we bring you something which can be equally striking for your own night out this AW15.

The Cate Dress incorporates one of the summer's favourite trends with a winter evening twist, the lace maxi skirting. The high neck delicately and sexily reveals the décolletage, with the sweetheart neckline undergarment boosting the bust for a sophisticated party appropriate look. Take Cate's lead and go simple yet slick with your accessories, choosing plain black heels, small sparkly earrings and a silver clutch to add some metallic flair. A simple curl to the hair and all natural, nude makeup will let the dress do the talking and you'll embody Cate's fashionable philosophy.
The Cate Dress is part of the Little Black Dress Collection and is perfect for making that entrance at this season's biggest party.
Glamour has no limits.
