The Runway Edit For the Fashion Oscars
The eyes of the fashion world will soon be focused on a Shoreditch stage in London next month as the future of fashion (the ones to watch) jostle for top accolades.
It features final year collections of students – and we are proud to be a key collaborator of these fashion Oscars, working closely with universities across the UK.
Little Black Dress threw down the gauntlet to students to design a couture piece for Britain's Got Talent judge, Alesha.
The Shortlist
Hundreds of entrants from universities across the country flooded Little Black Dress with their designs. Four were shortlisted. Emily Hayward and Amy Bray from Plymouth University, Yan Ting Kwok from Norwich University of Arts and Amy Morris from UCLAN.
The Search For the Next Fashion Superstar
The Future of Fashion: the search is on to find the next Coco Chanel, Alexander McQueen or Christian Dior.
Shortlisted Candidates
Alesha, alongside CEO of Little Black Dress, Mark Evans and HFM's editor-at-large, Hilary Alexander OBE selected the winner this week - to be announced at the grand gala day at GFW on June 7.
Hilary Alexander, OBE is a New Zealand-born British journalist and former fashion director of the Daily Telegraph. She was twice named Journalist of the Year in the British Fashion Awards and has appeared on Britain's Next Top Model. She is a GFW trustee and judge.
