Mother's Day afternoon tea competition winner revealed!

With tissues at the ready Team LBD looked over all of the entries to our Mother's Day competition to give one lucky winner and their mum a champagne afternoon tea at Kettners in London. Some were heart-wrenching, all were heart-felt and we particularly enjoyed some rather entertaining stories about how your poor mums suffered bringing you in to the world! But in the end there could only be one winner and we chose Chris Fliss, who loves her mum so much she put it in a poem. Here's Chris' winning entry... My Mum's absolutely brilliant. She really is the best. She's great fun to be with. And I was sad to leave her nest. But we always see each other. At least 2 times a week. She's a glass half full Mum. And her mood is never bleak. She's Grandmother to my 2 lovely girls. And they both love her to pieces. She feels exactly the same about them. And her love and care never ceases. Now she's reaching another stage. A Great Grandmother she's about to become. And I'll be a first time Grandmother. And to adoration I'm about to succumb. She has been busily crocheting and knitting. From cardi's and booties to mittens Also bonnets and blankets and matinee coats For this baby by whom we'll be smitten By end of May we'll be 4 generations. And all the more family to love. And there will be such joyous celebrations. We all fit just like a hand in a glove. Congratulations to budding-poet Chris and her mum who will be sipping tea and champagne in style at Kettners London shortly!
