This year's Met Gala was in stark contrast with last year's punked up theme with A-listers from across the globe congregating in a show stopping reunion at the Metropolitan Museum of Arts' Costume Institute Gala in New York yesterday. The event saw models and actors, singers, fashion moguls and even reality royalty, the Kardashians, embracing the summer season's hottest trends with hot hues, feminine pastel shades and plunging necklines aplenty. Crop tops also proved hugely popular as model-of-the-moment Cara Delevigne, Rihanna, Emma Stone and Anne Hathaway all opted for the midriff baring trend, which they paired with demure full length skirts. Stella McCartney proved to be the designer in demand with hot shots Kate Bosworth, Reese Witherspoon, Cara and Rihanna all sporting custom made designs, whilst Oscar de la Renta and Muccia Prada also kept busy with a number of gowns making a stand-out statement on the red carpet.
