Jean-Paul Gaultier unveils Amy Winehouse tribute collection
Haute-couture designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, who is renowned for creating Madonna's iconic cone bra in the nineties, paid tribute to another music legend, Amy Winehouse, yesterday in Paris.
Models for the Paris Fashion Week 2012 show walked the catwalk to a soundtrack of the late artist's songs and sported her signature beehive hair and piercing. The collection was strongly influenced by Amy's grunge-meets-fifties-housewife style with full skirts, tight corsets, lace dresses and of course a great deal of black featuring heavily. The stand out piece of the show was a delightfully over-the-top pink and black prom dress (top image) which created a beautiful hourglass shape and was made up of tons of tulle underlay and lashings of black lace. Teamed with bubblegum pink hair and chandelier earrings this is one look we can imagine the late legend herself rocking.
