Guest post: Media Marmalade's Christmas party style
Advertising Director by day, one of the UK's best fashion blogger by night (and serial socialiser come shopper in between!) Mel Mould of Media Marmalade has many strings to her bow. So who better to ask to guest post for Team LBD about her Christmas party style? Here Mel shows off her new Rise Fashion sequin dress from Littleblackdress.co.uk and gives her tips on styling it for the festive season. Take it away Mel...
After keeping it casual this week I thought I'd add some sparkle to my outfit today, particularly as it's my last working week until Christmas and this time next week it's Christmas Eve. Hoorah.
I've been lusting after sequins all Christmas- if you hadn't already noticed from the blog! There's something about a embellished dress that makes me feel all festive and special and I think sequins really add a touch of glam to any outfit. I've been fortunate enough to have a fair few sequin items added to my wardrobe this Christmas, but if I'm honest this definitely is my favourite dress. I've found a few others a little ill fitting, or a little extravagant, but this dress is just, well perfect.
The cut is specially made to actually fit your figure - AND cover your bum, which clearly is a huge bonus. It's also very classy and the sequins are 'classy' and not cheap looking in the slightest. It's got padded shoulders and generally just fits really nicely.
So there you have it, my new favourite sequin dress which I will absolutely be rocking this Christmas - maybe even Christmas day! I love getting dressed up at Christmas time and will add a little glitz and glam at any opportunity I get, this Rise Fashion dress (available here in the long version for £130) is definitely top of my Christmas day options right now & I loved wearing it this weekend for drinks out. Rise Fashion at Littleblackdress.co.uk actually do an amazing selection of festive party dresses; they have loads of different designs too -I'd say this is the most glam one, but there are some lovely chic LBDs too! Overall I've been really impressed with the LBD brand & definitely recommend it for any last minute Christmas dresses.
And for one week only you can bag yourself a Rise Fashion dress just like Mel's for 30% less. Simply use the code LBDRISE30 at the Littleblackdress.co.uk checkout.
What do you think of my Rise sequin dress: are you a fan of the huge sequin trend this year? Will you be getting dressed up for Christmas day too?
