Celebrating Kate's birthday, we reminisce her best bits

Today our favourite princess the Duchess of Cambridge turned 32 and what better occasion to reminisce on the royal darling's covetable wardrobe. Renowned for her elegant and classic style, she never puts a foot wrong no matter whether she's stepping out in couture or even after giving birth. Championing British designers Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham and Alice Temperley, Kate Middleton has done wonders for the British fashion industry, not to mention anytime she wears a high street brand they instantly sell out. Often seen in Topshop dresses or accessorising with Zara jewellery, her ability to make anything she wears appear as if she has been professionally styled shows her unique fashion sense. Even Karl Lagerfeld praised her, in his own way, by saying "She is chic in a way the position needs.”

Kate-worthy gowns

Well known for being a fan of a glamorous gown, Kate's role as a Princess means more than anyone, rolling out a red-carpet dress is a necessity for many occasions, but rather than shy away from different styles, Kate experiments with everything from full on lace, all over embellishment and even a thigh-high split. We think Kate would love these gowns; chic, sleek and beautifully designed they are the embodiment of classic Kate style. Elliot Claire Angie Pink Floral Occasion Dress, £225, Gorgeous Couture Bailey Maxi Dress in Coral, £208.80, Forever Unique Celine Dress in Rose Gold, £250, HMH Couture Iris Dress in Stone, £150.00, £90.00

Kate-esque day dresses

Quite the style chameleon when it comes to a pretty summer dress or a smart daytime look, Kate always always opts for a figure-fitting style and loves a flower print, lace styles and plenty of pleats. This princess is known for her savvy ways, she sets trends rather than feels the need to follow them, allowing her the option of re-wearing her dresses because of their classic style. Follow in her footsteps in these well-preened dresses. Ronen Chen Hayden Dress in Mauve, £119, Lipstick Boutique Alexa Dress in Black, £75.00, £37.50, Koo-Ture Casey dress in Red, £62.50, £35.24, Reiss Abellia Shift Dress, £142.50, £112.50 Flick through the gallery below to see some of our favourite Duchess of Cambridge looks:
