Here are Maeve's top ten tips for looking fabulous at your special event:
1. Establish the attire of the event you are attending to make sure you are dressed appropriately, i.e. black tie/cocktail etc.
2. Try on everything on the rack you are immediately attracted to.
3. Take photos of yourself wearing your favourites.
4. Narrow down your choices to the top two or three, marinate on what kind of mood you're in and choose based on that. There is no wrong choice – confidence comes from inside! You have to feel good to look good.
5. Make sure you are able to make any necessary alterations to ensure fit – this is one of the most important ways to achieve a strong look! Get a good tailor you trust.
6. Establish your accessories – look to signature items that make you feel like you are making this look your own. For example, I love lots of rings! Most of my clients can be seen on a red carpet with a ring on every finger.

7. Practice posing in the dress you decide to wear. It's important, especially in gowns, to know where to place your legs and angles of your body before hitting the carpet.
8. Give yourself enough time to get ready. Enjoy the process and don't stress out.
9. Get a good glam team! Hair and makeup can make or break a look.
10. Have fun!
