Venice Film Festival 2022 The Great and The Good
Roll out the red carpet for the 79th Venice Film Festival and let's begin our homage to the great and good of film fashion.
It's a festival which lasts for nearly a week, with film premiers and the best of the film industry gathering in one place. See stars such as Timothee Chalamet, Julianne Moore, Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and many more grace the Italian red carpet. See our highlights of the crème de la crème event. And of course, we would love to know what you think. Drop us a comment below. . .
Sadie Sink - Strange Dress Choices?
The American Netflix star could be seen (centre) wearing a stunning silver Alexander McQueen metallic cut out gown as she wooed the audience at the Venice Film Festival this week. Off the red carpet, she was snapped in a rather doll-like outfit again by Alexander McQueen which seemed like a leftover from her Stranger Things teenage wardrobe set, Max would have loved it. However, we"re enjoying her 80's style Gucci suit with a box jacket and straight leg sailor pants, what are your thoughts on the Guys and Dolls vibe?

Jodie Turns the spotlight on Blue
Known for her work in the epic American drama series The Last Ship and her love of Sci-Fi, Jodie Turner Smith stunned in turquoise blue. We love her Harbison vibe, pictured centre. Our favourite look from the festival is the Balmain (pictured right). We love the complex detailing on the bodice with a staggering neckline design.

Timothee Chalamet at The Venice Film Festival
We are absolutely thrilled to see Timothee lighting up the red carpet in his Haider Ackermann backless jumpsuit
When it comes to showing off, Timothee is picture perfect. Surrounded by hordes of screaming, doting fans waving mobile phones in his face, he pulls off the detached, rugged hero with the ultimate panache.
Which outfit do you prefer? The red jumpsuit (loving the cowboy heels), The Grunge camoflage shorts by Celine or suited and booted in an Alexander McQueen tuxe? We've not actually pictured Harry Styles, but he's also worth a mention as he sets the bar for all men on the red carpet in future with his Gucci favoured outfits.
Full Green Ahead For Olivia Wilde's Chanel Outfit
The Chanel sandwich: Olivia Wilde (wearing Chanel), Tessa Thompson (Armani) and Penelope Cruz (wearing Chanel)
It was a pop of colour theme for this lively trio at the Venice Film Festival. The Don't Worry Darling Olivia may be awash in rumours of a cast fall out, but she has her gaze fixed firmly on the horizon of paparazzi as she stuns in her block colour green Chanel suit complete with boots.
Meanwhile, Tessa Thompson steals the show in another metallic maxi dress by Armani. She currently stars in The Listener, which will be showing at the film festival in the coming days. Directed by Steve Buscemi, the film follows the story of Beth, played by Thompson.
When it comes to red carpets, Penelope Cruz is no stranger to the tricks of making an entrance. We're loving her long sleeve print dress, perfect for a modiste vibe as she steps out in style to wow the crowd.

Black Dress are Back

Chloë Sevigny in Gucci
Black is definitely black with LBDs a plenty scattered across all the celebrity red carpets recently. Just look at these two breath taking examples of long party dresses. The Gucci cut out is jaw dropping. They both favour a train, may we be seeing an early prom trend for the 2023 season? The cut out drama of both these styles is drop dead gorgeous. Loving the mixture of textures in the Armani dress worn by Greta. The fact they are designed in black enhances their powerful appeal don't you think?

Pictured Glory Kevin, Tessa Thompson in Christopher John Rogers, Jodie Turner in Elie Saab
Neon lights are definitely shining bright at The Venice Film Festival 2022. Brights is the hue of choice at the moment. We love the vintage feel of Tessa's gown here. it must have weighed a tonne with all its ruches and collosal fabric layers at the back. But what a statement. Sequins return to The Venice Film Festival
Pictured, Julianne Moore, Barbara Palvin in a Armani Privé and Eliza Sednaoui in Ermanno Scervino
And finally, it wouldn't be the party season without mentioning sequins. Adding sparkle to the Venice Film Festival red carpet was Julianne Moore in Valentino. Loving the bolero jacket thrown across the shoulders for added drama.
We are loving the spaghetti straps on the Ermanno Scervino sparkle gown on Eliza. See more of our sequin dresses for the party season here.
And the beauty look from model Barbara Palvin was gorgeous. We are adoring her dramatic up do, cat eye make up look teamed with a super sequin Armani dress, totally alluring.
